Problem Note 50655: Incorrect lower gamma confidence limit for large study population times

If gamma limits are requested for the standardized rate by specifying the CL=GAMMA option in the STDRATE procedure, and if the study population-time (values of the POPULATION TOTAL= option) are large, then the lower limit for the standardized rate will be incorrect and be close to zero. To avoid the problem, use one of the other distributions available in the CL= option.
